Editing, our standard copyediting service, is the more popular of our two editing services and we find that it meets the needs of most of the people we do business with.

In addition to the checks we carry out for Proofreading, our Editing service makes positive improvements in style, clarity, impact, sense, coherence, brevity and tone. Equally importantly we address deficiencies e.g. unsuitable language, inconsistencies, missing information, poor wording, poor sentence construction and areas where the document is vague or confusing.

We make suggestions and comments for you to consider and you receive a marked-up copy and can adopt the changes as you wish.

Our Editing service is the one to choose for documents which have not been previously edited. To get the best from the service the document’s authors should be able to understand and implement the changes we suggest. This approach is the most popular because it has the advantage of allowing authors to make their own judgements on stylistic preferences.

Premium Editing

The Premium Editing service is our most comprehensive editing service.

In addition to the work carried out for the Editing service our Premium Editing service implements the changes required to make a document sound both natural and professional throughout. You will receive a copy with all our changes incorporated.

The Premium Editing service requires the editor to understand the content of the document to a higher degree, which may involve extensive correspondence between editor and author. It is particularly useful for non-native English speakers who need to rely upon the judgement and stylistic understanding of our editors.
